It’s time for outdoor entertaining! We’ve had such a wonderful May here in Seattle and it’s getting me a little excited for summer dinners outside and having friends over. We (ok, mainly my husband) is always grilling something new or using the smoker. He got one for Father’s Day last year and we are having fun playing with new recipes. (PS if you need a Father’s Day gift idea, he loves his Traeger). Anyway…
I tend to like thing sweet and I love a good brown sugar rub on my ribs. I decided to play around with using raw sugar in my rub and it was soooo delicious. It added a crunchy caramelized coating that just melts in your mouth. It’s a super simple recipe and one that you can use even if you aren’t smoking them.
Here is a quick and tasty rub recipe:
- 1/4 Cup Raw Sugar
- 1 tsp. Paprika
- 1/2 tsp. Chili Powder
- 1 tsp. Onion Powder
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Ground Pepper
Mix all the ingredients together and rub it on the rack of ribs. (I also did the back side)
Place your ribs on the smoker for about 3 hours and then dive in!
Oh so delicious! To top them off, dip them in a little BBQ sauce. Perfect for a Father’s Day BBQ!
