Paint Dipped Concrete Pot

My friend Stacy over at Not Just a Housewife has a really fun challenge going on called the StyledX3 Challenge. Three bloggers, including Stacy, style the same product in their home and then we all post on the same day. For our challenge, Stacy chose this small concrete planter. Are you ready to see how we all styled it?

DIY Paint Dipped Concrete Pot

I’m so excited about the item Stacy chose for this challenge, the concrete goes perfectly in our home and is just my style. I chose to give it a paint dipped look that was really easy to achieve!

Before PlanterWe started with these basic concrete planters, they are small and oh so cute.

Concrete Planter TapedI used ScotchBlue Painter’s Tape with EdgeLock to create a large triangle on the pot.

Panting potsThen, gave it a few coats of white acrylic paint. I don’t plan on using these outdoors, otherwise I probably would have gone with outdoor paint.

Rocks under soilI’ve had my experience with succulents, both good and bad. I’ve discovered that they actually survive a little better when I place rocks in the bottom of the soil to helps with drainage. I am no gardening expert, but it seems to help.

Paint Dipped Concrete Planter
And now I have my cute little pot that works so nicely in our home!

Be sure to visit Not Just a Housewife and Creations By Kara to see how they styled their pots!

Where did you find these pots? Are they available at local hardware stores? Thanks!

My goal was to create a cozy yet elegant space where we can kickback and relax and also entertain. I wanted to keep the neutral tones and use the dark beams as a starting point for the design. Adding comfortable furniture but also a statement chandelier and vintage inspired accents.

Phase 2: building a custom, built-in media center coming later this year!

It’s often the final finishing touches that truly transform the vibe of a room. I picked up some final styling pieces from @wayfair , I am obsessed with both side tables. They are both statement pieces. And the personal photos, candle, heart trays and leather pillows are why bring the warmth and personal touches into this space.

I finally found the perfect family and pet-friendl I finally found the perfect family and pet-friendly sofa that passes the designer test! This is the 5-Seat Modular Corner Sectional from @7thavenueco in the color Oatmeal Beige. We ordered it in the extra-deep seat option for ultimate coziness. The material is water-repellent, stain-resistant and you can also throw all covers in the wash!

We cannot say enough great things about this sofa, we all love it and just sink into it. It definitely passes the family test. Plus, it truly is gorgeous. It looks very chic.

Comment SOFA and I’ll send you the link to this exact one!
