My friend Stacy over at Not Just a Housewife has a really fun challenge going on called the StyledX3 Challenge. Three bloggers, including Stacy, style the same product in their home and then we all post on the same day. For our challenge, Stacy chose this small concrete planter. Are you ready to see how we all styled it?
I’m so excited about the item Stacy chose for this challenge, the concrete goes perfectly in our home and is just my style. I chose to give it a paint dipped look that was really easy to achieve!
We started with these basic concrete planters, they are small and oh so cute.
I used ScotchBlue Painter’s Tape with EdgeLock to create a large triangle on the pot.
Then, gave it a few coats of white acrylic paint. I don’t plan on using these outdoors, otherwise I probably would have gone with outdoor paint.
I’ve had my experience with succulents, both good and bad. I’ve discovered that they actually survive a little better when I place rocks in the bottom of the soil to helps with drainage. I am no gardening expert, but it seems to help.
And now I have my cute little pot that works so nicely in our home!
Be sure to visit Not Just a Housewife and Creations By Kara to see how they styled their pots!
Where did you find these pots? Are they available at local hardware stores? Thanks!
I love this! Such a simple twist provides a really big bang :)
Looking good,,,,,!!!!!!!!
Love what you did with your pot. The diagonal stripe is so pretty!
I may or may not have picked this item because it scream “Taryn” at me :) I LOVE the white paint you added! Perfection!
