Nursery Reading Nook

Thanks For Sharing!

Disclosure: I am a member of the BHG Live Better Network. I received compensation from BHG at Walmart for this post.

Are you ready for the first peek at the nursery?! I told myself I wasn’t going to work on it until after the baby arrived so we could keep the guest room intact for a little while longer. But naturally, I just couldn’t resist! I’ve been working around the queen bed in the room and slowly turning the room into a fresh new space for the little bebe. Today, I’m going to give you a peek into the nursery reading nook.

Neutral Reading NookI decided to go with a little bit of a lighter, more airy look for the nursery. While the rest of our home tends to be filled with a lot of black and white and industrial pieces, I wanted this space to be a little softer. I’m still using neutrals but focusing on white, cream, light gray and a light weathered wood. And of course LOTS of TEXTURE!
BHG Crossmill Side Table

I’m using the same rocker that I’ve used for both of our kids, it’s in great shape and I’m thankful we went with white because it works with every room design :) I’m so happy I found the perfect side table to pair with it. I love this weathered piece from the Better Homes and Garden Crossmill Collection sold at Walmart. It’s perfect for this space and guess what, it only costs $69!
BHG Owl Candle HolderPlanterI’m going to enjoy adding my fun accessories into this space while the baby is still a newborn and can’t touch anything hehe. I think this little owl candle holder is just too cute! Instead of putting a candle in it, I decided to turn it into a little succulent holder.

Cozy Reading NookI can’t believe that in just three weeks or less, I’ll be holding our new little baby in this chair!

Metal Basket for BlanketsAnd what would a cozy reading nook be without a bucket of blankets. I’m a total blanket hoarder, they have to be in every room of the house!

I can’t wait to show you more of this space! I’m so excited with what I have planned :)

So pretty! Congrats on your upcoming bundle of joy. I have the Crossmill TV stand and it’s such a gorgeous finish. Great pick! :)
