It’s barely December and I’m already thinking about how I can eat healthier as we go through the holidays. The endless cookies, holiday parties, homemade pies, sweet potatoes, oh my. Instead of eating leftover pie for breakfast (yes, that happens), I’ve been looking for an easy way to jumpstart my day and give me the energy I need to tackle the holidays. Can you relate?
I think I found just what I needed with this easy and healthy Mango Pineapple Berry Smoothie! It’s the perfect way to kickstart the morning and stay healthy during the holidays and takes seconds.
One thing I learned quickly after becoming a mom is that you need to be quick with your own meals or else they don’t happen. In between feeding little mouths, changing diapers, cleaning messes and trying to get out the door. Yeah… Most mornings I grab whatever is in sight and I’ve been trying to fix that. This smoothie recipe takes no more than 60 seconds and I love how I am putting good food in my body.
Our fridge is constantly stocked with coconut water. My husband uses it every day in his post workout smoothies and I’ve found that it works great in mine as well, the only difference is that I tend to like things a little sweeter! I was so excited when I found these ZICO Chilled Juices, they are the perfect blend. They come in three new flavors, including ZICO Chilled Orange Juice Blend, Chilled Pineapple Mango Orange Juice Blend, and ZICO Natural Chilled Coconut Water.
For this smoothie I kept it really simple (remember, I need quick with two little kids running around). Here is what I used:
– 2 Cups of Frozen Mixed Berries
– 1 Cup ZICO Mango Pineapple Chilled Juice Blend
The juices are full of flavor, I still taste the coconut water but it’s well-balanced with the citrus of the Mango and Pineapple. I also drank a glass straight out of the container and loved it.
I threw everything in my beloved Blendtec and pushed the smoothie button. Voila, an instant healthy breakfast in 60 seconds.
Do you have a good smoothie recipe for breakfast?
