Sleep is one of the most talked about things in our household, especially when it comes to kids. We all need it and as parents we are always trying to figure out how to get our kids to sleep MORE! I knew it was time to upgrade my son’s bed, his previous one was super uncomfortable and if I didn’t like laying on it, I can’t imagine how he felt every night!
New mattresses are a hot topic, I always see people asking for recommendations because everyone wants more SLEEP! SO let’s break this down.
Lytton Mattress Review
We went with this new Lytton Sleep Comfort Firm mattress . All five of us tend to like more firm mattresses over plush ones. But if you like a softer mattress they also have a Comfort Plush option. I still find the firm option to have a lot of comport and softness to it. It’s definitely not ‘rock hard’ by any means. You still sink into it a bit.
The mattress comes rolled up in a large box right to your door step. As you remove the plastic wrap the mattress begins to inflate and fill with air. You can view a video of it on my Instagram! The process takes about 5 minutes!
The mattress is constructed from 4 different layers. It starts with 8″ coil system, then premium foam, gel memory foam and covered with organic cotton. You can read all about them on the Lytton Sleep here.
The top of the mattress is extremely soft and has a more pillow top style to it. I have slept on it a few nights so I could give you guys my honest opinion and I slept great on it. I think it’s a quality mattress and I would recommend it for sure.
And I’m pretty sure Timber is loving it too :)

Hi Taryn,
How do you think this mattress compares to the Tuft and Needle Mattress??
Thank you

I think they are very different mattresses and it really comes down to personal preference! I feel like the Tuft & Needle is VERY firm, but the Lytton is much softer, even the firm one. It has more of a pillow top style where the Tuft & Needle is flat.
