Gluten Free Summer Berry Tart

You may have noticed a delicious looking dessert on my picnic table from last week. This Summer Berry Tart has been one of my favorite recipes for the past few years and it’s SO easy to make. I even tweak it to be gluten-free and it’s so yummy. Many of you commented how delicious it looked so I thought I’d share the recipe. SUMMER BERRY TART

This tart was inspired by this recipe by Paula Deen and I converted it into gluten-free and added my own little twist.

Summer Berry Tart
Recipe Type: Dessert
Author: Taryn
Prep time: 20 mins
Cook time: 12 mins
Total time: 32 mins
Serves: 8
This Summer Berry Tart delicious and so easy to make. The perfect dessert to bring to a gathering or make for last minute guests.
Ingredients
  • Crust:
  • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose gluten-free flour (I use Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free All Purpose Baking Flour)
  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, softened and sliced
  • Filling:
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages of regular cream cheese
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon gluten-free vanilla extract
  • Topping:
  • Fresh berries of your choice
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a food processor, combine the confectioners’ sugar, flour, and butter, and process until the mixture starts to stick together.
  3. With your fingers, press the dough into a 12-inch tart pan. Once the crust is evenly distributed in the pan, bake for 12 minutes until lightly browned.
  4. Let the crust cool.
  5. For the filling beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla together until smooth. Spread over the cooled crust.
  6. Garnish with fresh berries.

I will probably make this several more times this year, it’s so refreshing! Enjoy!

I wonder if you could use fat reduced cream cheese too? I love this recipe and will try it out soon! We love berries in my family! Would love to see you at my craft party which is new Thursdays at 7pm EST. We pin every instructional post and share on other social media. Have a great rest of the week!

Staircase reveal part one! SWIPE for the before an Staircase reveal part one! SWIPE for the before and to see all the details. This has been a major project over the course of the last 7 months, and it has been so exciting to see it all come together. My goal was to create an elegant and timeless look to our staircases, adding character with unique features of the railings, classic neutral runners with gold stair rods to complete the look and a moment for the large luxe chandelier that you can see from the courtyard. And of course a fresh look with smooth creamy walls.

But I’m not entirely done just yet! Part 2 will be coming in 2026!
