Gift Idea: Creative Photo Mug Ideas

Thanks For Sharing!

Tracking Pixel

It’s the gift-giving season! It’s the time when we all try and get creative with gifts for neighbors, friends, grandparents and even the kids. Every year, I feel like I’m trying to think of something fun and different to give grandparents. But in the end, you can’t go wrong with adorable pictures of the grandkids! I partnered up with Walmart Photo to create these adorable and creative Photo Mug Gifts. I mean, who doesn’t want to turn their kids into reindeer sometimes ;)

Creative Christmas Gift Ideas With Kids

I wanted to make something a little unexpected, rather than just putting a pretty picture on a mug (although those are great too!). My kids are goofy and funny and I wanted to make a gift that matched their personalities. So I decide to turn them into Rudolph and I think they turned out pretty cute!

Creative Photo Mug IdeasCreating the pictures was super simple using Walmart Photo. Anyone can do it. I had them stand in front of a blank wall and then I shot the photos in black and white (encouraging goofy faces!). This can be done on an iPhone and you can actually transfer images from your mobile device at a Walmart Store using the Fujifilm Kiosk Photo Transfer App or connecting with a cable at the kiosk. It’s quick and easy!

If you didn’t take the photo in black and white, you can change the color of the photo within Walmart Photo while you are creating your $10 mug. Once I uploaded the images, I used the text tool to add a red nose by placing a ‘period’ on it.

Hot Cocoa Supplies

To really complete the full gift, I added little bags of hot cocoa and marshmallows!

As I tied the bags, I inserted two twigs to act as the ‘antlers’.

Oh these are so cute! But I guess I’m a little biased. And the best part is, my kids LOVED them! They thought it was so fun to see their faces on the mugs. Who knows, these might even be great gifts to give your own kids :)

Walmart Photo has tons of great gift options for the holidays, with 3,500 stores nationwide you can often pick up your personalized gifts on the same day, or order online if you need to!

You could win a $50 gift card in this to make your own photo gift! Leave a blog post comment below and share how you would create a Walmart Photo gift for someone this holiday season. Be sure to use #sweepstakes in your comment.

There are 4 grandkids in our family, so creating these Rudolph photos and placing them in a 4-photo frame would be darling! I may put it on a stand, add antlers coming out the back of the frame, and tie a red bow around the bottom. I love the silly faces idea! #sweepstakes
