Chocolate and Raspberry Filled Crescent Rolls

Thanks For Sharing!

Valentine’s Day is this week? Do you get a sitter for the kids and go out or do you spend Valentine’s Day as a family? We are doing a family event this year and I’m looking forward to it. I’ve been planning a special dinner for the family. I want it to be festive and full of goodies that they will enjoy. So this week I decided to put together their favorite foods and make these Ghirardelli Chocolate and Raspberry Filled Crescent Rolls with Homemade Frosting!

So easy! Crescent rolls filled with Ghirardelli chocolate, raspberries and topped with icing. Yum! via designdininganddiapers.com

One thing about my family that I love is that they don’t complain about all my gluten-free baked goods, even though I know sometimes they would rather have the real thing. You see, I am gluten-free because I have to be, not because I choose to be (well unless I want to be really sick) so my family is GF by default. So sometimes I like to make them a little treat that I know they will love even though I can’t partake in it (tear).

Ghirardelli Cacao

I used these Ghirardelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate for the filling. They are really decadent and perfect for a nice treat for a special occasion.

Ghirardelli and Raspeberry Filled Cresent Rolls

I used standard pre-made crescent rolls and filled them with Ghirardelli Chocolate Chips and raspberries. Any more than this and it would all out of the roll.

Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.

And top with a homemade icing. I use 1 cup of powdered sugar and 1 Tbsp of Milk. You may want to add more sugar or more milk depending on the consistency. I find that every time I make it turns out a little different.

Tip: My hubby said that I should have doubled the amount of frosting on top of each pastry :)

I also suggest letting them cool completely before eating.

These will make the perfect Valentine’s Day Treat! Make a batch and package them up nicely and your loved one will thank you!
