DIY Gift Idea – Personalized Wood Burned Coasters

It’s the last week of school for my little one and I find myself running around trying to complete some last minute gifts! Anyone else?! Today I’ve partnered with 14 other bloggers to bring you tons of last minute Christmas ideas! Everything from cookie recipes, gift ideas, table setting ideas and tons more!

Today, I’m sharing a DIY Gift Idea for a Girlfriend!

DIy Gift Idea - DIY Wood Burned Coasters with Coffee Mug and Goodies

Since I’m a mom, most of my friends are moms and there are just a few things that we all love, like caffeine (amen!), cute home accessories since we spend so much time here, a little treat for when we hid in the pantry and need a pick-me-up and something fancy for our nails. Because let’s face it, those don’t get done very often!

DIY Bestie Gift

HOW TO:

Wood Round Coasters and Wood burning Tool

I wanted to create a personalized gift to make it more special, so I put together these DIY Wood Burned Coasters with special touches. I picked up the rounds already cut and finished at Michaels, and then you will want a wood burning tool.

DIY Wood Burned CoastersYou can make these any way you want! I choose a last initial, festive cheers and then a few other holiday related graphics.  You can really make these for every-day or for the Holidays.

To give them a little dimension, I added a few details with white paint. Then you will want to seal them with either a polyurethane or generic all-purpose sealer.

Isn’t this mug from Target the best. This is seriously how I feel, although I still love my black clothes too :)

Here’s what you need if you want to complete this look too!

Don’t forget to check out all the other awesome ideas! Love these girls and their creativity.

I love this idea and I am doing something like this for my co-workers but I am calling them a “piece of peace”. I have a cute quote to adhere to beer mugs from Ikea and am putting some face wipes, tea bags and scented lotion in there.

Comments OUTDOOR for all the info on our backyard Comments OUTDOOR for all the info on our backyard furniture and decor! Unfortunately, when I get an idea I can’t stop until it’s done 😉. I got an itch to swap out our three chaise lounges for a large U-Shape sectional to create more seating and lounging poolside. I knew there was only one brand who could make this happen… I worked with @polywood to design a sectional that would be a complete custom fit for this little nook. I used the Braxton 6 Seat Sectional and added additional modular seats to get this look. I LOVE how it turned out! They can make anything happen!

POLYWOOD outdoor furniture is made out of recycled plastics, making it durable in all weather climates. They also have a 20 year warranty.

I kept all the original flooring, cabinets, backsplash and fixtures and did only cosmetic updates to update this space. I wanted to add more contrast, character, warmth and texture. By smoothing out the texture of the walls it instantly gave it an updated look, the new paint color added contrast, the wood ceiling added warmth and texture and all the antiques and vintage pieces gave it the charm. 🖤
