Cute Turkey Cards Using Kid’s Artwork

Thanks For Sharing!

It’s almost Thanksgiving can you believe it?! I managed to sneak in one more craft before the big gathering and I thought I would share it here before it’s too late!

Last weekend, Miss E and I did a little crafting together and made these Cute Turkey Cards for all the grandparents and other family members. Even though Miss E is still a little too young to make them completely by herself, I was able to incorporate her beautiful paintings into the design so there is still a part of her in them.

Here are easy and fun Thanksgiving Cards Using Kid’s Artwork.

Miss E has really been into painting lately and I’ve accumulated a stack of artwork over the past few weeks. I’m actually pretty impressed with what she can do at just 20 months! I knew I wanted to make Thanksgiving Cards with her this year but I also knew only so much is possible with someone under 2, so I decided to incorporate her artwork into my card design!

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out each piece of the Turkey, using part of this design here by Samantha Walker.

I love how each Turkey is a little different. And if you are wondering, I kept the eye’s off on purpose. Every time I tried to add the eyes they kept looking too ‘cartoon’ to me, and I really liked the simple silhouette of the turkey. I know, that might be a different but I went with it :)

I finished the cards off with some orange and white baker’s twine and a Give Thanks cut-out found here.

Those are so cute. I love that you combined your daughter’s artwork with yours. I don’t think grandparents or parents ever get tired of receiving their kids’ creations, no matter the age! Not to mention the design itself is inspired. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
