I’ve been watching everyone post their fall décor and recipes and I’m ready to jump on the bandwagon! I know I snuck on here a few times to share my Fall Vignette and Eclectic Fall Tablescape but I have a lot more coming your way. Today, I’m sharing these festive Acorn Cupcakes I came up with, a great treat for a fall dessert table or party.
Ok I’ll admit, all of the almonds don’t make them that easy to eat, but they sure are cute aren’t they?!
These were actually really easy to make so I thought I’d share a quick tutorial with you.
I started out by making a batch of white cupcakes in brown paper cupcake liners (I’m pretty sure I bought mine at Michaels!) And go easy on yourself and make the box ones! :)
Then I whipped up a batch up almond buttercream frosting. Super quick recipe of 1/2 cup butter, 2 cups of powdered sugar, 2 Tbsp. Milk, and 1 tsp Almond extract. You may need to add a little more powdered sugar to get the consistency that you want.
Now it’s the decorating part. I started by placing one almond upside down to create a little stem. Then start adding almonds in a circular pattern until complete.
And when you get the end, try to have them hang off a little bit to really complete the look.
And that’s it!
Enjoy this little fall treat!
