Deconstructed Apple Pie Bites

These deconstructed apple pie bites are perfect for a holiday party or dessert bar! Your guests can serve themselves and get a just apple pie in just one bite!
Ingredients
  • CRUST
  • King Arthur Gluten Free Pie Crust Mix
  • 1 Tablespoon of Cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla
  • FILLING
  • 5 Granny Smith Apples peeled and cubed
  • ¼ Cup White Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon of Cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon of Corn Starch
  • TOPPING
  • Whip Cream
  • Cinnamon
  • *gluten free flour for surface
Instructions
  1. Mix the pie crust according to the package and add in 1 Tablespoon of Cinnamon and 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla.
  2. Like the box suggests, divid it into two balls and then placed it in the fridge for about 20 minutes.
  3. Cover your surface with gluten free flour and roll out your dough.
  4. Use a round cookie cutter or small glass to create your circles.
  5. Place them on a cookie sheet and bake for 12 minutes.
  6. While the mini crusts are baking, get your filling ready!
  7. Peel and chop up about 5 Granny Smith apples and put them in a pot with 3 Tablespoons of oil.
  8. Add in cinnamon and sugars and let it simmer fora bout 5-8 minutes. Stir every few minutes.
  9. Once they are soft, put 1 Tablespoon of corn starch in the filling to thicken it up a bit!
  10. Let the filling cool for a few minutes and then spoon a little onto each crust.
  11. Top with whip cream.
  12. Add a little bit of cinnamon and you are ready to serve!
